How Does Sugarcane Become Fibre?

To begin production, harvesters collect the sugarcane stalks and extract all the juice and nutritional components. After completing the extraction process, only the bagasse fibers remain.

2. Pulping

The fibres will be mechanically or chemically processed into a pulp consistency. Chemical pulping uses chemicals to separate fibres from lignin and other compounds, while mechanical pulping grinds or shreds them. The end product of this procedure is a pulp that resembles wood pulp in texture. 

3. Moulding
